Names of living people are shown to allow branches to be followed but, to protect privacy, personal details are not displayed. Updating of the database is via GedCom from my family history programme. However, until I have 'fine tuned' the GedCom 'tags' and rearranged some of my records, there will be some 'errors' in presentation. Please bear in mind that birth, marriage and death places may be the actual town or village but are more likely to be the registration district. I have quoted references where possible but please double check to ensure accuracy in your own records and before you spend any money on certificates etc. Surnames in parenthesis (....) indicate female married name when maiden name is not known. Ages shown in the census details are direct from the census return, so will not always be logical from one 10 year census to the next. Most adult ages in the UK 1841 census were rounded to the nearest 5 years. In the 'Notes' box please say which, of the three, family history 'Trees' you are interested in (see above) and include your reason for wanting to access the database, ie possible family connection/one-name research/just being nosey!
